Dave Zech

Dave is a man of few words, but many skills. What started as a summer job while he was teaching became a well-respected family business. Dave’s attention to detail drives the staff crazy, but has endeared him to our customers. He is happy building or servicing pools. He is a Penn State graduate with a degree in zoology, so it was clear he would be most happy in the outdoors.

His favorite role is that of “Pappy” to his three grandchildren. When given free time, you will find him in the garden or in his workshop. Dave loves anything related to military history.   Though not a piano player, he loves rebuilding player pianos, and enjoys building furniture.

Pat Zech

Along with her husband, Dave, Pat helped grow Yorktown Pools and Spas into the company it has become. She, too, began her professional life as a teacher before opening the retail store in 1982. Since then, she has worked all aspects of the pool business, even helping to install in the early days. Dubbed “Pat the Pool Lady” by an early customer, she now spends most of her time on the business end of the company. When possible, she loves catching up with long-time customers and meeting new ones.

She and Dave love to get away to their cabin near Penn State and to attend as many games as possible during the fall. Give her a good book and a chair on the beach and she is in heaven.

Joshua Zech

A co-owner, Joshua began working for Yorktown Pools as a teenager. He is currently responsible for overseeing all service work and restorations. He earned a Biology degree from Penn State and worked in sales before returning to take over the helm of Yorktown Pools & Spas.

Joshua specializes in liner replacements, especially in curvy, oddly shaped pools. He loves the challenge of perfectly fitting a liner into them. He continues to be amazed how replacing the liner in a pool makes the whole pool look like new.

Joshua and his wife, Kerry, have two children, Juliette and Anderson. He is also an assistant coach for the York College Women's Volleyball team. In his off time, he enjoys shooting sporting clays and watching Penn State football games.

Micah Zech

A co-owner, Micah is the person responsible for construction of all of our new in-ground and aboveground pools. He earned a communications degree from West Chester and worked in public relations for a time. However, the ability to continue the family business and work outdoors again was an opportunity he jumped at. He says, “I have built pools along side my father since I was fifteen. I know the ins and outs of pool building, and I enjoy seeing happy families living their dream of owning a pool.” 

Micah and his wife Jenny have a beautiful daughter, Lily. He enjoys spending time around the pool with family and friends. Any spare time he has is spent honing his golf game. He feels York County is a wonderful place to live and raise a family.

Rob Eyster

Rob is the ”heart and soul” of Yorktown Pools and Spas. He has been with the company for nearly 20 years. He started as a laborer and has done every job at one time. No one cares more about our customers, and no one has a harder job than Rob. He spends hours arranging the schedule, so customers are taken care of and their pools serviced as timely as possible. Most of you know him by name and rely on his expertise to get your pool up and running again.

Rob’s artistic side is evident in his sumptuous gardens and lovely home. He is an avid runner, and loves a good martini.

Colleen Rabenstine

Colleen is our “Jersey Girl”. Born in New Jersey, she came to this area through marriage. She is the person in charge of new construction and accounts receivable. She keeps all of our construction projects running smoothly, by co-coordinating materials and sub-contractors. In addition, she manages cash flow by keeping our accounts current.

Away from the office, Colleen loves to read, listen to music and care for her many pets.

Randy King

Family is very important to Randy. Married for 12 years to his wife, Kim, he is busy keeping up with daughter Lauryn and son Ryan's sports. Their active lifestyle follows Randy's enthusiasm for camping, hunting and fishing. Not only does he bag the game, he is a mean griller and smoker as well. With a margarita in hand, he enjoys cooking for friends and family.

As a former manager for Shenk & Tittle Sporting Goods and Champion Chevrolet/Mazda, Randy brings unique talents to his job. As store manager, he works hard to get the best products at the best prices for our customers. In addition, Randy trains and educates the summer staff. He is well-versed in all things pool and spa, which led to Yorktown Pools & Spas becoming an Aqua Excellence Certified Retailer.

Bonnie Spinelli

Bonnie is the friendly face that greets everyone who enters the store. Most people know her by name after the first visit. She is a professional “people helper” who says she loves all of our customers. An animal lover, she even greets furry friends who accompany our customers to the store. No one knows parts better than Bonnie, and she will work very hard to meet the needs of our customers.

Outside of work, Bonnie enjoys visiting the beach and spending time with her husband and pets.
